| My Baby My darling Benjamin. "Mumma's JOY". How absolutely delighted and thankful we were when we learned we were expecting you. I LOVED being pregnant with you for nine months...well...almost nine months...you didn't quite make it that long, did you? What REJOICING filled our hearts the day you were born! You, sweet Benji, have brought such blessing and JOY to our lives. How I love the way you snuggle close to me in the still-dark morning hours while I pray and sip my coffee. How I love the way you run up to me several a times a day to say, "I LOVE YOU MUMMA". How I love the sound of your laughter as you wrestle with Daddy or play with your brothers and sisters. How I love the way you take care of your nieces and nephews when they come to visit...what a fine "Uncle" you are! I love the army forts you build and the block towers and castles! I love to see you playing baseball and running and climbing trees outside. I love the way your eyes twinkle and your smile looks as though it will shoot right off your little face when we spend the day, exploring at the creek. I love the way you bow your head and fold your hands to pray. I love the pictures you draw for me. I love the pieces of graham crackers and cookies and candy you share with me. I love you, my beautiful baby boy...who is getting to be such a BIG boy, now. Today, and everyday, we thank God for you...our BENJAMIN LUKE! Your sisters will make the pizza you've requested as your special birthday meal, this afternoon. I will hang the signs that all of your brothers and sisters made for you. We will sing and play and rejoice in the wonderful blessing of YOU! Today, the day you were born, is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. What a beautiful blessing. I am so privileged and blessed to be your mother. I love you with all of my heart. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Benjamin Luke! May you be close to Jesus and Mary, always! |
